1/25/08:  My wife and I had a terrific time over the MLK weekend. Cabins were clean, up to date, terrific views, good location, good value and decent restaurants within 20 minutes.(Lake Carroll Club House 5 minutes and Lena 18 minutes. Hosts (George and Sherry) are very cordial and make an effort to see that you are comfortable. They were very helpful with information on local activities, directions, food, etc. While touring, we spotted approximately 300 eagles by the locks south of Savannah. All in all a memorable getaway weekend.

1/03/08:  Great Cozy Cabin for a quick New Year's get-away. Our Luxury cabin was as promised and the layout offers as much privacy as your would like. George and Sherry were very accomodating and offer exceptional concierge service!! Thanks for everything! Five Stars from US!!

12/30/07:  We love Hickory Hideaway! The cabin and grounds made for a relaxing winter get-away! Our luxury cabin lived up to its name but what made our trip such a stand-out was the hospitality of George and Sherry. They helped us explore the local nature, shopping, and restaurants, accommodated us, and predicted our needs including keeping up with the shoveling of the falling snow throughout our stay. We can't stop talking about our trip and we will certainly return!

11/26/07:  We had the most relaxing time at the cabin..this is truely a piece of heaven. The bed was warm and comfortable, just like home...The decor and above and beyond treatment will have us spreading the word....Thank you so much! The only down fall and reason for the 4 outof 5 stars...is the very rusty water in the whirl pool tub...I am a city girl not used to the well water in the country. Other wise, our stay was wonderful! Thank you Newcomer's for the wonderful feedback. As "city folk" ourselves, we are pretty picky about water quality ourselves and can tell you that we are constantly working to provide the best water we can. The rust color you saw was not the norm. Normally that is triggered by some event whether a neighbor digging a new well or an extreme rain or drout. We always like to know so we can research and stop it in the future. Thanks again, George & Sherry

9/22/07:  Hickory Hideaway was the home for daughter′s 11th b-day and it will be one for her to always remember getting away and being with friends and family in the great outdoors (campfire, hot tub, music, bbq, and fun and games for all). The hospitality was second to none thanks to all that helped make an 11 yr old′s b-day awesome!!!!
