10/24/11:  From the moment I emailed Hickory Hideaway I knew we were going to have a wonderful stay. With each email (and I had alot of questions) I received timely responses and clear concise answers. So when we arrive and was met by one of the owners I was not surprised by his calm, friendly demeanor. He took us around showing us the grounds and the items available for us to borrow to make our experience a bit more fun IF that is what you want. (but you can lay in your cabin, or sit outside and enjoy nothing but nature) Upon walking in our cabin we were met with warm country living the atmosphere was exactly what I was looking for. If you REALLY want to get away and surround yourself with nature and positive energy this IS absolutely the place to go. G&S thank you so much for going above and beyond this past weekend. We rented the "Family Extended" cabins and the attention we received felt like we were in one of the luxury cabins. Again thanks!

10/12/11:  We enjoyed one of the luxury cabins on our wedding weekend. The trees surrounding the area were beautiful and the weather was gorgeous. We recommend the HH to others.

10/09/11:  My boyfriend and I needed a getaway and hickory highway was the place it is full of peacefulness and its so magical we only stayed one night but everything is very magical as my boyfriend said this place awoken our 5 senses and gave us a lot of peace we left hickory highway very satisfed with everything and we really thank george and his wife for offering a,place like this very wonderful people :)

9/29/11:  We had an amazing time for our girls weekend. The food you had catered was awesome and delivered right to us. You made so many arrangements, which made everything easier on me. Also, you are some of the nicest people all of us have ever met. Thank you for making this experience so welcoming and relaxing!

9/28/11:  This was a wonderful romantic place to get away. The people were so nice and helpful. Very clean and very homey. Will stay again. I do reccomend this place.

9/22/11:  My husband and I came here for the first time in September 2011..We had reserved our mini retreat for 3 days..After arriving here, I was absolutely captivated by the peace and serenity of Hickory Hideaway..The owners, George and Sherry, are truly an amazing force pouring their heart and soul into Hickory HIdeaway..It is a place that is loved and cared for, thus, Hickory Hideaway reflects that energy and embraces all that surrounds it and those who enter it.. We were blessed and our stay was extended allowing us to spend a total of 6 days..While I prepare to leave today, I do so with a melancholy feeling and tears in my eyes as it is sad to have to say goodbye..But inspiring to know that very soon, we will definitely return..This is a magical place of Spirit, Beauty, and Serenity..It is now to be my new Home away from Home...To those of you thinking about visiting the Hickory Hideaway, You will not be dissappointed..You will leave here empowered, relaxed, and rejuvenated in your Body, Mind and Spirit.. 8/29/11:  i just wanted to say thank you for a wonderful weekend away with my girls and one last single ladies trip for the bachlorlette Oksana. Yana could not have picked a better place for us to go and it was amazing!! I will definitley see you guys again soon!

8/22/11:  We had a wonderful evening at Hickory Hideaway. The Cabin was very clean and cozy. We enjoyed the whirlpool tub and the fireplace. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a retreat that is not too far the Northwest suburban area. The only drawback was that there really aren't many local restaurants to chose from.

8/15/11:  This place is awesome!!! My husband and I spent 3 nights here this past weeekend. Nice, quiet, peaceful and best of all was the cabin!!! The cleanest i have ever seen. It comes with all you need and if you do need anything "extra" George & Sherri (the owners) will try to get if for you. Thanks George & Sherri for your hospitality!! You two are the nicest people we ever met! And you know we are coming back next month with our friends! We are excited to be coming back and of course we will be telling friends and family about this wonderful place to get away to! Sorry George that we did not see you when we left. We just wanted to thank you for your kindness and hospitality and to let you know we had a great time!!! See you in Septemeber.
